Grumpy Ahri and Not so grumpy Ahri

So I tried doing one layer painting and this is how it ended up.....

This is Ahri from League of Legends. I wanted her to have a "dafaq" look but, the finished one ended up looking a bit flirty instead of annoyed? XD Urgh, how do people do this. Well so far it's fun to work on one layer, since I get to play with the colors a lot and I can freely edit and move things whenever I want. Though unlike my old coloring style it's hard to shade some parts that overlap so I have to plan things first before shading ;~; ah well, hopefully I'll get used to it.
